HearAndNow is an annual series of concerts based in Amsterdam, focusing on a pivotal composer each year combined with music of today. Some of the best chamber musicians of the next generation come together in the intimate setting of the Vondelkerk. Dedicated to creating accessible concerts, recent projects have included the Bartok Salon where the music of Bela Bartok featured alongside contemporary composers Rose and Van Niewkerk. Our next project is the Schoenberg Salon in February 2024.
Founded by violinist Emma Roijackers, HearAndNow brings together international chamber musicians in intimate settings. HearAndNow are commited to combining masterworks of the past with the music of today. You can see a short video of HearAndNow’s last Salon Concert series which featured the music of Bartok with music by Nieuwkerk and Rose. The next series of Salon Concerts focuses on Arnold Schoenberg in February 2024. More details coming soon.
